COWBOYS AND ALIENS

Considering this is a Sci-Fi film, the plot is elementary. Considering this is a Western, the plot is still elementary! Aliens experimenting on Humans??? That’s the oldest Sci-Fi cliché in the book! Its mind boggling that it took eight writers to come up with this rudimentary script. The acting is passable, considering the dialogue they had to work with. Mixing spaceships with the Wild West doesn’t make the look of the film appealing either. The SFX is generic, it’s like they copied and pasted the aliens from STARSHIP TROOPERS. Any Director-for-Hire could have directed this, but I didn’t expect such a trite effort from the director of IRON MAN.
